The second GPFI Plenary meeting under the Brazilian Presidency was held in Fortaleza

On 1-2 July 2024, the Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI) met in Fortaleza, Brazil, for the second in-person Plenary Meeting under Brazil’s G20 Presidency. GPFI holds its First Plenary under the Brazilian Presidency

On 15-16 March 2024, the Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI) met in Brasilia, Brazil, for the first in-person Plenary Meeting under Brazil G20 Presidency. The plenary agenda focussed upon the GPFI priorities for 2024, which are: (i) policy options for improving “last mile” access and quality inclusion for individuals and MSMEs through digital infrastructure, including Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), Consumer Protection and other FIAP objectives; (ii) New G20 Action Plan for MSME Financing and (iii) a conceptual framework and measurement tools of financial well-being (Presidency priority). Empowering Growth – Unlocking MSME Finance Through Policies, Innovation and Partnerships

On 14 March 2024, the G20 Brazilian Presidency organized an International Seminar on ‘Powering Growth – Unlocking MSME Finance Through Policies, Innovation and Partnerships’ on the sidelines of the first GPFI meeting. The event was the result of a partnership between the Banco Central do Brasil, Sebrae (the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service) and SME Finance Forum and brought together experts from Brazil and from different parts of the world.
